I pray that everyone out there in blog land has a blessed and safe Christmas. Please, remember , its not about the gifts bought at a store, but the true gift is Jesus Christ. Thank you God for sending your son Jesus!

The smell of pumpkin pie!!!
I love Fall. I love Thanksgiving! I just love this time of year. Last weekend, I made my family some yummy, mini, pumpkin pies. Well my family as well as her teacher and some other teacher friends enjoyed the pies. So I decided to create a lesson on how to make these pies. This idea came from somewhere over 16 years ago. I can no longer find the source and I have added and taken away some ingredients over the years. I first made this in my kindergarten class for our Thanksgiving feast and it was a hit. My students enjoyed making and eating the pies. Here is a preview:
The lesson comes with recipe cards for class the class and to share with the students families, ingredient picture cards, cooking tools picture cards, sequencing cards ( for lesson), and a writing sheet. It is available on TPT and TN for only $3.50.

Please forgive me!
I know I have been MIA for a while. This school year has been full of changes and I have had lots of new things to get used to. Even though common core doesn't address some skills, my co-workers and I agree that we still need to teach our kids the skills that are not covered through common core. Are any of you noticing this? Well in the mist of all the changes, I have created a new Halloween BINGO game that focuses on addtion facts 0-12. I will be finished with it soon. I just finished a cute Smores math center. The first person to comment can have it for free. Here is a preview. This game covers skills for addition fluency 0-20. A coomon core label is included and so are two differentiated assessment sheets. Thanks for stopping by! Leave your email, so I can send you the file. Be Blessed.

Sight words
Hi guys. This school year is giving me a run for my money! We are starting this new reading program called SFA ( Sucess for All). It is a cool program, but we didin't have enough time to get acquainted with the materials. I have been really trying to get it together! Our SFA facilitator is soooo AWESOME! I thank God for her. It takes a special person or let's say someone filled with the Holy Spirit to do this job. She is having to deal with so much and so many teachers who are soooooooooooo confused. Bless you Ms. G.
I haven't had time to create much lately, but here is a lil' something for my ELL students who are in need of pre-primer sight word practice. Last year I found an origami paper wallet to use for a sight word holder. One side of the wallet was for words they knew and the other side was for words they didn't know. This year, I decided to make a wallet with some flashcard words. Here is a preview. The first three people to comment can have it for free. Other wise it will be in my TPT store for $3. I hope you find it useful.

School is definetly IN!
Hi all! We are in our third week of school. It really all seems a blurrrrrr! The second week of school, my daughter got sick and passed it on to me. I was out of school for a whole week. This was definetly NOT good for my kids.
We have sooo many new things going on at school. Have you ever heard of the program SFA ( Success For All)? We had a 3 day training and had to implement the following Monday. When its up and running, I do believe it will be a wonderful program. Our coach seems to be really great!
I did manage to do two new things for you. One is a time and money vocabulary pack. It includes voc. words, pics to match as well as the definitions.

MIA
I am so sorry that I have been MIA. I have been enjoying my summer break by spending time with my family and giving my teacher brain a rest. It is almost that time and so I created 3 new items that I will be posting on TPT. If you teach kindergarten or have some ELL is your room these are for you. I created some school tools flashcards with an emergent reader. I also included my name book on TPT. This name booklet is a booklet for kids to practice writing their name and drawing themselves throughout the year. Here is a preview. I will be running a sale on these three items until Friday for $2. So get it today!

I'm Going Green...... what about u?
To help save a tree or two or three, I'm gonna try and go green. How? Well I'm gonna have to use some paper, but it will be recycled. I bought a class set of these babies from Lakeshore.
These are the reusable write and wipe pockets. In centers, students will have these. I will check their work, record their grade, and pass it on to the next group. If you haven't any, you should try them. They work for any grade. My nephew, who is 4, uses it to practice number and letter formation.

Earth Day Linky Party
Need some cute ideas for Earth Day. We will celebrate all next week. I will post some cool Earth Day books. Denise over @ Sunny Days in Second Grade is having an Earth Day Linky party. Hop on over to get some great freebies and wonderful ideas from fellow teachers in blog land. I added my freebies just in case you didn't get them already.
Patches the Dairy Cow
This week we received a visit from Patches, the Dairy Cow. I forgot she was coming and hence.....no pictures to share. She was soo cute. Patches has only one ear and is 5 years old. She kept looking at the kids and was probably wondering why they were looking at her. Ms. Nicole, the farmer asked the kids to say hello to Patches and when they did, she gave off a loud MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! In honor of her visit, I created some activities that our teachers could use to expand their kids learning of dairy cows and cows in general. Trivia cards, writing sheets, graphic organizers, as well as a cow pattern are included. Here is a preview. If you would like a copy, leave a comment. Tomorrow I will put it on TPT for only $1.50. Be Blessed
